AgentsAt connects 10,000+ Sales Agents with 5,000+ MSMEs.

About The AgentsAt

AgentsAt is a B2B platform connecting Indian MSMEs with commission-based sales agents across industries and cities. Instead of a conventional recruitment model, it helps businesses discover sales professionals while giving agents access to relevant sales opportunities.

Overview

The goal was to turn a complex two-sided model into a clear digital experience. Visitors needed to understand what AgentsAt is, find the path that fits them and trust the people on the other side. The challenge was not refreshing the visuals but restructuring the experience around positioning, audience journeys and trust.

greater audience reach.

The Problem

The constraint was complexity: a two-sided model that is neither a job portal nor a recruitment agency, explained to two audiences on one website.

India's MSMEs often need to grow beyond their existing markets, but building a sales network is hard. A traditional sales team brings fixed costs, and finding independent professionals with the right industry knowledge and regional reach usually depends on informal networks.

Sales professionals face the same problem from the other side. Experienced agents have the skills and market knowledge to generate business, but finding steady opportunities that match their expertise, location and industry is difficult.

A cleaner homepage would not have solved this. Three problems sat underneath:

A new concept with no clear position.

AgentsAt lacked clear brand positioning, so the platform was hard to understand at first glance and held back meaningful interest. Visitors could not tell what it offered, who it was for or why to trust it.

A fragmented experience that weakened trust.

Inconsistent visual language, generic content and an unclear hierarchy made the site feel stitched together. For a platform built on business relationships, that costs credibility.

Two audiences, one platform.

MSMEs looking for sales talent and agents looking for opportunities share an ecosystem but not a goal. One generic journey would answer neither group well.

The design question became: how could one website make the model clear in the first few moments, send each audience to the path that fits them, and make trust visible on both sides?

Where AgentsAt sits

The platform sits between two models people already know, which is why the first impression needed so much care.

The design question became: how could one website communicate clearly to both sides, look and feel credible, and make it easy for each audience to find what it came for?

Research and insights

This was less a visual problem than a clarity problem: a new concept, two audiences with different questions, and an ecosystem of industries, locations and opportunities that could easily overwhelm.

I worked from three lenses:

The business model.

Where AgentsAt sits between a job portal and a recruitment agency, and what that distinction means for the first impression.

Each audience's first questions.

What an MSME and a sales agent would each want answered before taking any action.

Trust on both sides.

What each audience needs to believe before engaging, since both are weighing a real business relationship.

What I found, and what it changed in the design

Key design decisions

Five decisions shaped the redesign, each trading a more obvious route for one that fit a new, two-sided platform.

1. One platform with two clear paths

I chose to keep both audiences inside one connected experience, with audience-specific messaging for each, rather than treating them as separate sites or one generic message. The platform's value comes from connecting both sides, so the website had to show that connection while still speaking to each side's needs. This is also where the dedicated sales-agent journey came from, aimed at a 15% improvement in agent sign-up conversion.

The redesign moved from one undifferentiated experience to one story with two paths.

2. Make the concept clear before anything else

I chose to refine the messaging and visual communication so the concept lands at first glance, ahead of adding more detail. A new platform loses interest quickly if visitors cannot tell what it does and who it is for.

3. Fix consistency and hierarchy before adding content

I chose to bring one visual language, content style and structure across the site, with clearer hierarchy and stronger navigation, instead of piling on pages. The fragmentation was what weakened trust, so consistency was the fastest way to feel intentional. Clearer homepage navigation was aimed at a 20% improvement in audience-specific CTA engagement.

4. Show trust, do not just claim it

I chose to build trust signals into each audience's path, rather than relying on statements of credibility. Reinforcing credibility and nationwide scale mattered because both sides were being asked to engage with a platform they had not used before. Clearer value propositions and trust signals were aimed at a 12% improvement in enquiry conversion.

5. Build the visual language around connection

We chose WordPress and Elementor Pro with a focus on responsive design, performance and technical SEO, so the site would be fast, flexible and easy for the team to maintain and extend.

Instead of a generic corporate look that would make the website feel like any other services site, I chose custom 3D glass illustrations, glass-style icons, a bold red-and-black color palette, and purposeful motion to create a distinctive, modern, and visually engaging experience.

The solution

The redesign gives AgentsAt one clear message, one consistent look and two paths built around what each audience needs.

One platform, one message, two paths built around each audience

Both audiences start from the same message and look, then follow a path built around what each side came for.

A clearer platform identity

I refined the messaging and visual communication so the concept is easier to understand at first glance. The site now shows how MSMEs and sales agents connect and what each side gains from the platform.

A more credible experience

Consistency across the visual language, content and structure replaced the fragmented feel with one that looks intentional. Clearer hierarchy and stronger navigation make information easier to find and reinforce trust.

Two audiences, one connected experience

MSMEs get clearer ways to find sales agents, and sales professionals can discover relevant opportunities. Each path is built from audience-specific messaging, industry discovery, location-based exploration and trust signals.

A design language that holds it together

A shared design language keeps visuals, content and components consistent across pages, so the site feels like one platform rather than a collection of screens.

Designing for scale

The design had to work for a platform that was still establishing itself, with two audiences to serve and a small team of four building it.

Collaboration and build

I worked with the product manager and founder on goals and priorities, and with the developer on how the experience would be built. The site runs on WordPress and Elementor Pro, with pixel-perfect implementation, responsive design, custom functionality, performance optimization and technical SEO.

Impact

A clearer experience, designed around business outcomes.

After launch, the client reported gains on the three things the redesign was built to improve: getting agents to sign up, getting MSMEs to enquire, and getting each audience to take the next step on the homepage.

These figures were reported by the client after launch.

What changed in the experience

The redesign made the platform more credible, easier to navigate, and better aligned with the distinct needs of sales agents and MSMEs.

The redesigned AgentsAt platform connects 10,000+ sales agents with 5,000+ MSMEs, enabling faster business opportunities and trusted partnerships through 500+ verified connections across 1,000+ cities.

Reflection

Designing AgentsAt reinforced an important lesson for me: when a platform is new, clarity is the first step towards trust. Before visitors can engage with a product, they need to understand what it does, how it helps them and why it is worth their time. With AgentsAt, that meant solving a communication problem before treating it as a visual design problem.

What I learned

Positioning is a design problem. If the concept does not land in seconds, nothing else on the page gets a chance.

Consistency builds credibility. A unified look, clear hierarchy and steady content style signal a platform worth trusting.

Serving two audiences means separate paths inside one shared system, not one message stretched to fit both.

What I would do differently

Bring users into the process earlier. I would validate the messaging and navigation with MSMEs and sales agents before committing to the final structure, rather than relying primarily on how clearly the experience communicates the concept from a design perspective.

Treat trust as an ongoing experiment. I would test different value propositions, proof points and calls to action for each audience to understand what actually builds confidence and encourages people to take the next step.

Design for continuous improvement. Rather than treating launch as the finish line, I would use behavioural analytics and user feedback to identify friction points in each journey, then prioritise improvements based on real user needs.
